Abbott Packaging Design
Packaging design created with Abbott as part of a rebranding effort in order to differentiate itself from competitors and have a standout and singular design throughout all their products that can become synonymous with Abbott. Abbott packages are created with the user experience in mind. Specifically, they are created based on research and studies about how the packages are mostly stored in the warehouse and then on shelves in hospitals. Via this study, all packages are designed with the intent to have the Abbott signatures and devices drawings if applicable, right side up as the internal or external customer reaches or looks at it. Secondly, they are created to align with the orientation of the label. Device drawings were added if necessary based on guideline specifications to aid the customer with a way to identify the device in addition to the device label.
